The newly renovated Moesgaard museum is worth a visit. Great for kids too.. When you are there you might want to go for a walk in Moesgaard forest, or go to the beach which is very close by.

In recent years the industrial harbor has been redesigned into a modern neighborhood, with interesting architecture and a lively atmosphere. If you are there on a weekend you might want to visit the food market "Øboderne", which are open from 10am to 4pm.
