Waikiki is world renowned for beaches, shopping, and food. As a tourist hub, it can get a little hectic and busy at times. But with patience and a little planning, you can have a relaxing time while enjoying the convenience of having everything you need for a perfect stay right within walking distance.
Of course, if you want to beat the crowds and get off the typical tourist path, you'll want to head out of Waikiki for sure. That's not to say that Waikiki isn't a gem - it's a particular experience that you have to fully participate in to enjoy!
