The original lodge built in the 1950's remains intact nestled inside the more recently built portions of the lodge Take the Glenn Hwy towards Glennallen. The Lake Louise turn off is at approximately mile 159 1/2. The turn off is well marked. You will travel sixteen miles down Lake Louise Rd till you see the Lake Louise Lodge sign to turn right. It is 171 mile (3 1/2 hours) from our house.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 and designated as a National Historic Landmark since 1986, Kennecott is considered the best remaining example of early 20th Century copper mining.

Welcome to Le Barn Appetit in Seward Alaska, the first creperie in all of Alaska, was created in 1987 by Yvon and Janet van Driessche, your hosts, and their children. We built the original four-story barn (Belgian-style) which is the tallest building in Seward. Besides the main barn building, there is the "Tree House" and the newest "Jack London's Cabin". We are a B&B/Inn and our hosted guests can be small or large groups. We have cable and free Wi-Fi available to our guests in many of our rooms. With spacious clean rooms, each chamber has a theme with genuine objects to match their stories. Our Inn guests sleep comfortably, and receive a 20% discount for their Crepe breakfasts. Anyone with gluten difficulties, we also use Sarasin (Buckwheat) for gluten-free crepes. Come witness the creation of our gourmet Belgian crepes prepared before your eyes to your liking on our custom Creperie created in the summer of 2004. Try Janet's rich Belgian waffles made from scratch with fresh fruit in season, topped with all the other fixings. Breakfast, meal crepes, and dessert crepes are available to the general public. We are open daily form 7AM to 4 PM. Families are welcome.

Chester Creek trail adjoins Rogers Park on the north and the can be utilized to access downtown. Anchorage is host to 248 miles of bike able trails and bike lanes.
It is only an .4 of a mile (8 minute walk or two minute drive) to Fred Meyers where everything you will need to begin your Alaskan adventure is available, such as fishing gear, license, grocery, clothing & alcohol. REI is across the street from Fred Meyers and .8 miles (15 minute walk or three minute drive) from the house. Costco at 4125 Debarr Road is 2.7 miles.
Our home is conveniently surrounded with three hospitals. Providence Hospital at 3200 Providence Drive is 1.8 miles, Alaska Native Medical Center at 4315 Diplomacy Dr is 2.7 miles, Alaska Regional is located at 2801 Debarr Road is 3.2 miles. There are also several colleges nearby. The University of Alaska Anchorage is 1.3 miles and Alaska Pacific University is 2.2 miles. We are located between the Alaska Railroad Terminal which is three miles NW and the Anchorage International Terminal which is six mile West.
