Our favorite beaches

There are a lot of beaches to navigate in San Diego. Here are some of our local faves.

There is a gorgeous hike that starts at the beach, goes through a scenic trail, back down to the beach. You get sunshine, unique natural sights, and the grounding ocean waves all in one perfect bundle. The trail is mild, and is great for all activity levels. Alternatively, we recommend bringing California/breakfast burritos or a box of Sidecar donuts to picnic at the beach if hiking is not appealing!

Los Penasquitos Canyon Trail

This is very close to our home, no car needed to access. The trails are flat, but has a great combination between open air and tree covered dirt paths.
