South Downs - great walks from Devils Dyke and Ditchling Beacon.
Our favourite beach about 20-25 minutes drive. Paid car parks or free parking in residential roads which is what we always do. If you go with low tide, lovely stretches of sand appear.

Our favourite beach about 20-25 minutes drive. Paid car parks or free parking in residential roads which is what we always do. If you go with low tide, lovely stretches of sand appear.

A beautiful gardens to visit, particularly good in spring/early summer for the Azaleas and Rhododendrons. Just 4 minutes up the road. Great place to explore.

Great place for a walk or cycle! T
he 'Downs Link' cycle path runs along it from Upper Beeding to Shoreham. A lovely flat open path for walking or cycling.
You can join it in different places - Shoreham, Bramber, Upper Beeding or laybys off the A283 (e.g. https://goo.gl/maps/DGEoFLinPj8SG9vA7).

River Adur
Great place for a walk or cycle! T
he 'Downs Link' cycle path runs along it from Upper Beeding to Shoreham. A lovely flat open path for walking or cycling.
You can join it in different places - Shoreham, Bramber, Upper Beeding or laybys off the A283 (e.g. https://goo.gl/maps/DGEoFLinPj8SG9vA7).

A green with playground and also a great cafe 'The Perch' (https://lancingperch.com). If is recommended to book if you want to eat there. Coffee, cake and ice creams at any time. There is a lovely flat cycle path that also runs from Shoreham to Lancing - great for walking, scooting or biking.
Also one of the biggest kitesurfing spots in the UK!
Further west you also have Littlehampton beach which is worth exploring.

A green with playground and also a great cafe 'The Perch' (https://lancingperch.com). If is recommended to book if you want to eat there. Coffee, cake and ice creams at any time. There is a lovely flat cycle path that also runs from Shoreham to Lancing - great for walking, scooting or biking.
Also one of the biggest kitesurfing spots in the UK!
Further west you also have Littlehampton beach which is worth exploring.
Our closest pool with slides, outdoor pool areas and toddler pool. Great fun! Part of a bigger leisure centre. There is also clip'n'climb and other activities.
