My home Town and yes, I'm an Aberdonian with a love/hate relationship with the place. Set in a spectacular coastal location, not too big and not too small. Loads of golf, miles of beaches, sea cliffs galore and castle trails right on your door step.

History and Island's
A trip here's a must, if you want to travel back thousands of years to the Neolithic age (Skara Brae) and the stone circles (Ring of Brodgar) also adds to the mystery of the place. Get there by overnight Ferry's from Aberdeen to Orkney and Shetland, adds to the adventure.

This is a great Highland games set in some great scenery with a great atmosphere and the men of Lonach with there pikes add to the day. If you can't make that one, then most highland games are worth a visit if you've never been to one and there on every weekend during the summer.

Food scene
The lobster shop and has an interesting rocky sea front. A fish festival takes place around mid august which is worth a look.
