In 1989, Purifoy moved to a friend's trailer in the Mojave Desert, and over the last fifteen years of his life built what is now the Noah Purifoy Outdoor Sculpture Museum. Located on 10 acres of open land near Joshua Tree, the museum contains over one hundred works of art, including large scale assemblages, environmental sculptures, and installation art created by the artist between 1989–2004. While giving the appearance of a salvage yard with tires, bathroom fixtures, TVs, ragged clothes, toys and vacuum cleaners, each piece has a story to tell!

This is just down the road from the house. It is on private property so you cannot go right up to the sculpture but there is a viewing point on Sunfair road where you can view from

There are hundreds of hikes so I would recommend downloading the AllTrails app onto your phone so that you can find the right hike for your skill set. Alternatively, you can also visit the Joshua Tree visitor center and speak to someone in person who can help direct you around the park

There are hundreds of hikes so I would recommend downloading the AllTrails app onto your phone so that you can find the right hike for your skill set. Alternatively, you can also visit the Joshua Tree visitor center and speak to someone in person who can help direct you around the park
Another great place to view local art works, take in the scenery and there is also a nice cafe to have lunch at. This is more of a locals spot so less touristy
