I just went to this French Bakery/restaurant and it was amazing!! I can't believe I've never been before.

Comfort food at it's finest. My favorite place for breakfast/brunch and dinner is great also. They feature a "mom of the month" with her bio and a few recipes.

Reed College kids bar. You can hang out here while you're waiting for your table at the Delta (just have to let the Delta know and they'll call the bar when your table is ready). Also-good pinball

Portland's Japanese Gardens is a must see! It's in the SW hills by the Zoo, Rose Gardens and Hoyt Arboretum. It's a very easy drive and the max train stops 260 feet below (there's an elevator;-)

Just do it! (short hike, beautiful waterfall on the columbia gorge)
A really nice place to hike that is in the city.. so it's accessible by public transportation.

I don't really recommend it. 30-40 minute wait for so-so donuts? If you want to see what the hype is about and eat donuts with bacon or fruitloops, this is it! not crowded 2nd location on NE Sandy
