This city park is high about the Upper Iowa and the bike path below. It has large covered picnic areas, fun playground equipment, a fountain, and plenty of parking. You can walk for miles above the river. Good all year round.

This was my favorite place to hike growing up in Decorah. The springs come out of the rock and are crystal clear and cold. Great for picnics on a hot day. It is just past the huge campground on the Dug Road walking path which starts behind the Whippy Dip on the dike.

Twin Springs RoadThis was my favorite place to hike growing up in Decorah. The springs come out of the rock and are crystal clear and cold. Great for picnics on a hot day. It is just past the huge campground on the Dug Road walking path which starts behind the Whippy Dip on the dike.
It has a secret place where a waterfall comes out of the limestone rock and tumbles down to the gushing spring that enters the Upper Iowa a short distance away. The hiking trails are steep and the rocks can be slippery so do be careful but it is worth the visit. You find it off College Drive on the way to Luther College.

Seed Savers has huge gatherings and music festivals throughout the year but their mission to locate and store seeds from around the world to get back to pure breeds and sustain the old strains prior to genetic mixing. Very interesting shop and fields to visit. All seasons is beautiful along the stream.

Very interesting shop and fields to visit. All seasons is beautiful along the stream.
Luther parents make up the largest group of guests at Vossheim. Concerts, graduation, reunions, holidays, and parent's weekend are booked early and it is difficult to find any housing near the dates. The campus is lovely.

This pool has maintained it's Art Nouveau facade and upgraded the pool area for all ages. There is a play area for children in the sand.
