Favorite Beaches
Waimanalo BAY Park is my favorite beach in Hawaii. Please don't confuse this with Waimanalo Beach which is just down the street an is basically a homeless camp.
Make sure you hit the BAY park in the Sherwoods area. Its located between the McDonalds and Bellows turn offs. If you are coming from the south it's going to be a right turn just north of McDonalds and south of Bellows.
Usually plenty of parking so you don't need to worry about getting there super early.

Parking during the summer can be very difficult so best to get there by 7:30am.
Bring a good beach umbrella as there is no shade here. Just a big beautiful beach!!

Makua Beach is my favorite west side beach. It's a drive but well worth it especially if you snorkel electric beach early in the day and then relax on Makua for the sunset.

Kailua Beach Park is another one of my favorite east side beaches. Closer to a larger variety of shopping and restaurants it's ideal for those who want a little more convenience to their beach day.

Pipeline Beach is my favorite North Shore location for watching surfers. Usually plenty of parking along the street in front of the beach if you can get there fairly early.

Sandy Beach is great for watching body boarders and body surfers on the south side. The shore break is dangers and leads to more neck and back injuries than any other beach in America so please don't go in the water unless you are an expert swimmer.
