Bob's Barn has it all: great people, delicious desserts and sandwiches! Once you have a taste of their pies you will be addicted! My husband really enjoys the sandwiches. There is an assortment of gourmet treats to fill your pantry. Hop in your car and get there pronto! Yum factor is 100%!

The iconic Silver Beach is a must see when visiting SW Michigan. It offers a concessions stand, beach volleyball courts, a walk on the pier to the light house, as well as easy walkable access to the shops and restaurants.

Only a handful of miles north on Blue Star highway will lead you to Van Buren State Park in South Haven. This easily accessible beach offers great views, large beach area, and plenty to do in South Haven.

One of my favorites if you like a mixture of hiking, dunes, and beach. About a 1 mile direct hike (with lots of off-shoots) from the parking lot to the beach up and down some (at-times, steep) sand dunes. The beach is narrow as the water has risen and eroded some of it, however, the natural beauty of this park is still there!

Well kept trail, designed for cycling but lovely for walking or running. Great shade if you're worried about the heat.

Located in Berrien Springs, MI, about 40 minutes from the cottage. If you are looking for good hiking trails, this is one to look in to. Love creek has amazing trails. Many different ones to choose from! Can find a few without a lot of hills. One walks about a creek with beautiful views.

9292 Huckleberry RdLocated in Berrien Springs, MI, about 40 minutes from the cottage. If you are looking for good hiking trails, this is one to look in to. Love creek has amazing trails. Many different ones to choose from! Can find a few without a lot of hills. One walks about a creek with beautiful views.
Only about 10 minutes from the cottage, Sarrett Nature Center is a lovely place to stop. Fantastic place to see the beauty of the woods. The hiking trails are very well done and easy to walk through, with beauty all around. Does turn into natural trails so bring good shoes

A Beautiful vineyard accompanied with delicious wines and a gracious charming owner. By far our most amazing wine tasting experience in Michigan. Even the restroom was gorgeously decorated.

A really great selection of wine where you can find something for everyone! What a treasure of a find. Great atmosphere, great wine, and live music. The food was all homemade and delicious! Sit out on the patio and enjoy overlooking the vineyard.

Nice location and great selection of preselected tasting flights. The sweet wines are not as sweet as other wineries, however, Lemon Creek should definitely be on your list to visit.
