Great food and drink. I particularly like the flash fried shrimp, the Nesk fried chicken and the salmon and baked beans (yes it turns out baked beans do go well with salmon - try it!)

The Delaware and Maryland shore have some of the best restaurants particularly if you love seafood. Don't sleep on our onsite restaurant - The Den at Bear Trap - a five minute walk from our beach house. The food is good and the bartenders and servers are friendly.
The Den website states that it is a must-try coastal restaurant and event venue featuring exciting twists on classic pub fare. Enjoy an expansive beer, wine and handcrafted cocktail list and chef created specialties that are legendary. Make yourself at home while we treat you to the most delicious and fun culinary experience around. Sit outdoors by our cozy fire pits with a view, gather around our TVs to catch a game, or partake in community revelry.

Assateague's wild horses are well known, even to many people who have never been to the island. The "wild" horses on Assateague are actually feral animals, meaning that they are descendants of domestic animals that have reverted to a wild state. Horses tough enough to survive the scorching heat, abundant mosquitoes, stormy weather and poor quality food found on this remote, windswept barrier island have formed a unique wild horse society.
