Delicious jellies, honey, and other locally made goods can be purchased in the gift shop. The blackberry jam from Rocky Branch Farm is my favorite! If you decide to go, I would recommend making a reservation, as it gets rather crowded.

If you would like to spend a day on the river, Scottsville is only one hour away. Options vary from a lazy day on the river in a tube to paddling a canoe, kayak, or raft from dawn 'til dusk. I used this company last year for a three-day canoe trip and was very happy with them. Smallmouth bass fishing is decent on this part of the Upper James.
