From the flat you can take a lovely walk through the Vally gardens and finish at the Harlow Carr Betty's cafe / restaurant for a bite and refreshment. The cafe is situated in the Harlow Carr gardens which often has a craft fair and if not still well worth a look at the beautiful gardens.

Get the train one stop or a 10 minute drive to the beautiful little town of knaresbourgh . Well worth a trip for a row on the river or just a walk around this historic place.
