For every 1000ft you climb up the mountain it’s like climbing 10 degrees latitude northward. So at the base, you are at the Mexican boarder. And, by the time you reach the top, you are at the Canadian boarder! Amazing hikes, views and camping!

My favorite place to get coffee! When I first moved to town, many places didn’t take debit cards. I went through the drive thru and didn’t have cash or know of their policy. I apologized and they said “it’s ok! We can give you an IOU.” They still do IOUs! And make the best drinks!

This is one of our favorite take out places close to home. Always delicious, great prices and friendly service. Try the lamb sandwich if you eat meat and the falafel either way! Also, check out the market next door! You feel like you stepped into another world.

A fantastic venue to see great live shows! The floor is slanted so that even short folks can get a great view in a crowd. And the acoustics are fabulous!

This trail — Aspen Loop/Marshall Gulch — is at the end of the road, past Summerhaven, on Mt Lemmon. It’s a moderate hike that will take you by a spring fed creek and is a beautiful place to see flowers and butterflies in the spring!

Local Markets
This little gem is within walking distance of the house. They have a wide variety of organic and vegetarians options on the shelves and in the freezer. No produce, but you can get that next door. They do have homemade Indian food fresh daily as well though if you just want take out.

2801 N Country Club RdA wonderful market within walking distance! It’s like you have walked into the Middle east and is worth visiting just for sightseeing if you like international foods! They do have a small selection of seasonal produce available.
