A local national monument and visitor center is nearby! For those who like to hike, this is a great place to visit. If hiking is not your thing, the visitor's center has great films and activities. This monument preserves more than 200 mounds built by Native Americans from the Woodland culture. Some of the mounds are in the shape of animal effigies and were thought to be used for ceremonial or burial purposes.

If hiking is not your thing, the visitor's center has great films and activities. This monument preserves more than 200 mounds built by Native Americans from the Woodland culture.
