Originally Wetlands as indeed the whole of that area is, Acland street was home to Jewish immigrants and with them they brought their delicious faraway recipes. Monarchs Cakes remains a true testament with their divine Polish Cheesecake, amongst the many genuine cakes and treats. Catch tram no 96, eight minutes walk from my apartment to get there!
