A lovely near-by harbour in a quaint town that has lots of small shops and places to eat. The beach area has recently been fully refurbished and has fabulous golden sand.

The Welsh Mountain Zoo, which is a 20 min walk from the house, is home to a large variety of animals including tigers, lions and monkeys. Only half a mile from the house as the crow flies, you can sometimes even hear the sea lions at feeding time when sitting in the garden!

The White Lion Inn is an award winning gastro pub and restaurant in Llanelian-yn-Rhos, Colwyn Bay. Just a 10-min drive from Cedar Lodge, this friendly pub has excellent food and stunning views. Possibly the oldest country pub in North Wales, the White Lion is well worth a visit. We can particularly recommend their Sunday roast lunch, which is very good value.
