If burgers are your thing and you don't mind a drive... The Meating Room restaurant in Berkhamsted serve what in our opinion are the best burgers in greater London. St.Albans also has a branch although that's a franchise and not like the original. It's a 25min drive from the cottage but worth the effort if you're in the mood for tucking in!

307 High StIf burgers are your thing and you don't mind a drive... The Meating Room restaurant in Berkhamsted serve what in our opinion are the best burgers in greater London. St.Albans also has a branch although that's a franchise and not like the original. It's a 25min drive from the cottage but worth the effort if you're in the mood for tucking in!
If you're looking to try something different for lunch, Imperial China offers great handmade dim sum at reasonable prices. They serve food all day but the dim sum is what makes this restaurant really stand out (make sure you ask for the dim sum menu). The dim sum is on par to some of London's best dim sum restaurants at a fraction of the price.
