Go there to get a view of all the amazing mountains around Faxaflói bay and you can also see a glimpse of the volcanic eruption in Reykjanes peninsula.

Take the bus or just hop
From our house you can walk to the bus stop and be downtown within 10 minutes. But you are just as quick if you grab an electronic scooter. They are all around our neighbourhood and are very popularity right now. This is our favourite way to travel after walking.
Get the Strætó app to take the bus, you buy tickets and find your route there.

No need to tip
We don't tip for service, we pay people (fairly) decent wages in Iceland.
경비 절약 방법
Shop at Bónus or Krónan
The best way to save money on food is to avoid smaller stores. Instead go to Bónus, Krónan or even Nettó and buy your food there. Krambúðin, 10-11 or other smaller shops are there for you if you need late night shopping but they charge you way more for the same stuff as you can get at the supermarkets.
Although supporting small local businesses and organic shops is of course encouraged 👌

Iceland is Safe!
Bringing up kids in Iceland is amazing for many reasons but the biggest one is that it is very safe here.
We let our kids run up and down the street and go to playgrounds around the area by themselves.
But don't let them run by themselves in the highlands. That is actually the most dangerous place.

Be mindful of the weather
Check the weather before you leave for any activity. It can really ruin your experience to be shaking on your bones because you didn't bring waterproof or warm clothes.
Weather can change quickly and its better to prepare and have layers than to bring too little.
Also don't go hiking without the right equipment and always be safe. Let someone know where you are going an take warnings seriously. Please don't get lost on a mountain. 🙏
