The Grotto is a very “Mediterranean-like” rock beach with high and low points for jumping into Georgian Bay. There is absolutely beautiful and great hiking along Georgian Bay. Really worth the visit; better is it is a sunny and warm day. Tip – if Cyprus Lake is too busy and you can not get in, drive back to Half-Way Log Dump access – this area on the Bruce Trail / Georgian Bay has some of the most beautiful rock formations and is great for swimming. You might need to reverse a spot online before heading to the provincial park on their website.

Greig's Caves
407 Scenic Caves RdA 25 minute drive, head south from Loin’s Head on Country Road 9 (main road) follow for approx. 8-10 minutes, turn left on Scenic Caves Road, follow Caves sign on left side. Admission fee required. Worth it, many caves and it is the sight of where the movie “Quest for Fire” was filmed about 20 years ago.
A 15 minute drive the Bruce Peninsula Artist’s Co-op Gallery is a juried group of 12 artists that show their artwork in a co-op art gallery at the corner of highway 6 in Ferndale (drive directly west to highway 6 from LCBO in Lion’s Head). The gallery is open daily from 10am-4pm.

About 15 from the cottage, great spot for hiking and swimming. Make sure to bring good shoes for walking on rocks and bring water shoes if you want to swim.
