The pace of life in this farming community is leisurely so just relax and enjoy those views and listen to the birds and the sheep and the cows. If you've travelled from a busy town or city, embrace the silence of our wonderful valley.

This is quite possibly the best pizza you'll get in the whole of North Wales! Serving a wide choice of pizzas, including vegan options, some great salads and South African wines -it's one of our favourite places to go to in Betws y Coed after a day's activity. It also does take away.

Good venue for lunch especially on a sunny day when you can enjoy the garden too. Summer 2023 they are serving a 3 course menu for £30 which then includes free entry into the Italianate village of Portmeirion.

A short, easy walk over the hills from Plas Hafan takes you to this fortress castle built to guard the mountain passes by Prince Llywelyn the Great.

Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) has six different paths to conquer on this 1,085 metre (3,560 feet) giant which are the Llanberis path, Pyg Track, Miners' Track, Watkin Path, Rhyd-Ddu Path or the Snowdon Ranger Path. Car parks can get quickly get full during the summer, so the Snowdon Sherpa bus links the various starting points. It takes about 35 minutes to drive to Pen y Pass parking which is a starting point.

The Borth y Gest beaches can be reached from this small pictureque village. Park in the village car park and follow the signs to the Wales Coastal Path from where you can walk down to several different secluded coves. There are a couple of little cafes in the village itself.
