Recently completely rebuilt this is a club which you can go to as a guest and has a large outdoor seating area with views over the ocean, and a number of different restaurant indoors, as well as gaming rooms. There is live music on occasion.

Virtually on the other side of the Road from my place is the Manly Dam reserve. There is a magnificent (and at parts quite difficult) Mountain Bike track, as well as a number of walking tracks around the dam

There is a superb bike/walking/running track around the Narrabeen lagoon. You can also canoe, windsurf, swim in the lagoon. There are a number of cafes and playgrounds/BBQ spots around the lagoon as well

Lakeshore DriveThere is a superb bike/walking/running track around the Narrabeen lagoon. You can also canoe, windsurf, swim in the lagoon. There are a number of cafes and playgrounds/BBQ spots around the lagoon as well
Obviously biased, however I think Manly Beach through to North Steyne and Queenscliff is the nicest Beach in Sydney - very accessible, plenty of grass and shade, surf and then close to Manly’s cafes, restaurants and shops.
