By far closest place to the Airbnb at a 5 min walk. Good bbq and southern food with the best on water dining in Kingston. Not my favorite food but best views of the water. In a very historic old steam tug boiler building from the 1800’s. They also do a really nice Sunday brunch.

Wow is all I can say. This place is just amazing and right on the river! The River Pavilion is part of the Hutton Brickyard Venue but this is open the public. I haven’t had the food yet as it’s very new but can personally say the drinks are top notch as well as ambience and view.

This place is not in kingston but a short 15 min drive away in West Park, NY. Well worth it for the food and house made spirits. Be sure to request deck seating on a nice day.

While not in the Rondout or walkable I recommend this place anytime your craving that classic bagel and cream cheese, or bacon egg and cheese. The absolute king of bagels in the kingston area. Local favorite as well. Not much to add, biggest bagels I’ve yet to have anywhere. One note, cash only unfortunately.

Sightseeing
Really cool new State Park. You can drive the parking lot which is about 6 minutes away or take the rail trail in front of the apartment which will take you into the park through the Hutton Brickyards. It’s still a work in progress but there is some nice views and really cool industrial ruins as well as blue water quarry’s.
