Double Bluff Beach is about a mile from the farm. Check the tide tables if you're interested in a long ambling walk amongst seaweed, beach pebbles, rocks, sand, and driftwood. Bring a bucket and shovel (provided here for you!) if you'd enjoy building sandcastles, or just create a masterpiece of your own with beach debris. It's a local favorite activity and you just might come across some pretty elaborate fort designs! Interested in clamming? Head on over to Sebo's, a local hardware store a minute or two away, and grab yourself a clamming license. If you're more interested in catching a simple vibe: Drive down to the beach parking lot in the morning or evening with your favorite hot or cold beverage and sit on a rock or bench and drink in the delicious sea breeze, native bird calls and activities. Listen to the lapping of the waves and rich beach life. We've got a picnic basket and blankets and umbrellas if you'd like to have a little picnic on the sand.

Wanna try some local favorite cuisine? A quaint ten minute drive into Langley will provide an array of eateries for your culinary pleasure! Village Pizzaria, The Bistro, The Saltwater, to name a few of family's favorite spots. Tour the museums, gift shops, The Star Store, assortment of coffee shops, Music for the Eyes, and of course, Good Cheer, the local thrift store that boasts fun items to take home with you. Feel good knowing whatever you purchase there, helps feed and clothe the homeless and struggling local families on Whidbey Island. It's a must see if you want to glimpse the island community. 여행 팁

Little tips to know on Whidbey Island:

If you hear someone say they're 'going into town' or 'going over to the other side' it means they're taking a ferry over to the mainland, Seattle probably. There are times of year where whale watching is prime. Check out Salish Wildlife Watch on Facebook. Payless Foods and The Goose, both grocery stores, are two minutes away from the farm in either direction. Both of their own personalities. If you're venturing out and suddenly there is a long stream of traffic on the highway, that's just ferry traffic. It cycles through out the day. It's there. It's gone. Like that.
