Along with historic the Elizabeth neighborhood, Plaza Midwood is a laid back local favorite. The area is full of restaurants, shops and bars. We highly recommend Catawba Brewing Company for a local hangout, Midwood Smokehouse for barbeque, Workman's Friend for the local pub, and The Fig Tree, Bistro La Bon, and Cajun Queen for upscale dining.

This place is gorgeous! It's a huge rose garden with over 500 rose bushes, structural art pieces, and a wine shop so you can have a drink while enjoying the beauty.

A car is recommended
But, there are CATS bus stops at either end of Keswick Ave. as well as the LYNX light rail a couple miles away. Uber and Lyft are both available in the area as well.

The King Drive Farmer's Market is great for local fare
Open air market with local produce, meats, baked goods, eggs, jams, jellies and honey. The market is open on Tuesdays (6a-6p), Fridays (6a-8p) and Saturdays (6a-3p). Parking is across the street in the gravel parking lot. The least busy times to visit are mid-morning and mid-afternoon.
