A pleasant day trip to walk in the Highlands without heading up properly into the hills. Nice surroundings and views and a great selection of walks through the woods or along the river

A good day trip and an easy walk around the loch in the Highlands. Head up lock nagar if you fancy doing a munro. Look out for the deer on the hills and the eagles on the cliffs above the Loch.
Don't forget the Ice Cream shop in Ballater. On the way home.
