17362 Old Dixie Hwy6 - mins - family beach on a mining lake - quite impressive. Very clean and fun for kids of all ages. Inflatable water fun (extra charge - but it's fun!) , wakeboard line and other activities. A great place with children if you want some sand time without the drive.
Not a large beach - but has a great relaxing feel and nice Gulf breeze and views. Have witnessed dolphins here several times pretty close up.
The drive once off main road also takes you through some quiet marshlands.

Expansive beach area.
I always advise to plan a trip there for an arrival by 10am.
The traffic by 11:00 and after can get aggrivating over the causway and then you have to find parking. It's all doable - but going early is best.
It is a fun place and a truly beautiful beach - if you are seeking an active beach experience - this is a must do.

Gulf of Mexico Drive40 mins - top rated beach for FL. Restaurants , shops, charters, dinner cruises, etc.
Expansive beach area.
I always advise to plan a trip there for an arrival by 10am.
The traffic by 11:00 and after can get aggrivating over the causway and then you have to find parking. It's all doable - but going early is best.
It is a fun place and a truly beautiful beach - if you are seeking an active beach experience - this is a must do.

If you are familiar with the Dolphin Tale movies - this is where Winter and Hope live, and where the movies were filmed.
I reccommend the added option to go on the Dolphin boat tour - they are tracking and doing research of the many dolphins that live in that inlet and they are fairly successful in finding some, and can recognize which ones they are. (by name) .

I reccommend the added option to go on the Dolphin boat tour - they are tracking and doing research of the many dolphins that live in that inlet and they are fairly successful in finding some, and can recognize which ones they are. (by name) .
