In all my trips to Salento, I’m not sure I’ve ever had better food than at Foscolo. It has a wonderful wine list and also a great cocktail bar. A one minute walk from the front door.

Wonderful local winemaker with some deli products and selected wines from the various regions of Italy. The best however is their own locally produced wine - rosato, negroamaro and primitivo, sold by the litre!

Danilo Osteria Creativa was the first restaurant I ever visited in Matino. It has fresh, wonderful seafood and a great wine list and the mother-son team, Maria and Danilo are amongst the warmest restauranteurs you'll find anywhere in Italy. It's a great pleasure to return there.
