A great hiking spot, Sleeping Giant Mountain from afar is two miles of mountain top resembling a large man sleeping.
A 1.5 mile scenic trail leads to the stone observation tower on the peak of Mt. Carmel which provides a beautiful view of Long Island Sound and the New Haven area.
The entrance to Sleeping Giant Park is just minutes from our home. Just take a right out of the driveway and take your first right onto Mt. Carmel Avenue, the park is about a mile on your right hand side, parking is free.
