Worth an evening out! Very easy to get to by nearby buses or a walk! Too many great fish and seafood restaurants to list! A couple of Michelin-starred in touching distance of each other are Kitchin and Martin Wishart. More affordable are The Shore and next door is Fishers. You’re spoilt for choice in Leith!

Arboretum PlaceOne of the best I’ve ever been to. It’s a 15 minute walk from the apartment, free entry with nice cafes and a restaurant. The Inverleith Gallery usually has a thought provoking exhibition and the views of Edinburgh’s skyline are a must!
This is a short walk from the apartment, free entry with a fantastic cafe (try the cheese scones!). The gallery alone will give you a mosaic of the history of Scotland’s Great & Good but the various exhibitions are always worth spending time in!

1 Queen StThis is a short walk from the apartment, free entry with a fantastic cafe (try the cheese scones!). The gallery alone will give you a mosaic of the history of Scotland’s Great & Good but the various exhibitions are always worth spending time in!
You can see Calton Hill from the kitchen window. It’s a short steep climb but completely worth it for the amazing views over the city and the added bonus of the Observatory and a fine restaurant (booking advised).

If you have a peek down some of the ‘Closes’ you’ll not be disappointed! World famous for a reason!

CanongateAn extinct volcano in the middle of the city. The Crags were shaped in the Ice Age. It’s got three lochs, incredible views and is a bit of a lung buster if you choose to climb to its peak. It’s worth the climb! The views are outstanding and the descent is highly satisfying!
Top tip: take a bottle of water and good footwear! Chocolate might not be a bad idea either!
