One of my favorite buildings anywhere for so many reasons. Love the views from both the north and south ends of the seventh floor reading room, the kid's section and the teen section are amazing too.

Opens early, closes late, regulars are everyone from local politicos and artists to down and out street people. You can walk there from the trailer in five minutes, or in a quarter of the time it takes to sing 99 bottles of beer on the wall.

This is the easiest of the Summit Trails in Phoenix. It's very straightforward as far as getting there from here. "The Hole in the Rock" is an iconic group picture place.

This is the closest place to go for really great walk among the cactus experience. The town of Cave Creek is a touristy cowboy type town, but who cares? The last time I was here we started just in time to get in a good hike and see a beautiful sunset as we got back to the car. I believe it is a 6 mile round trip walk/hike. Bring hat, water, sunscreen.
