This mountain is just shy of 1,000 feet. The walk up is steep at times and the ground uneven in places. At the top there are bare ledges that are warm on a sunny day and great for a picnic as the weather cools. There are grassy areas that are great for picnics too. The panoramic views from the top are breathtaking.

This 250’ mountain sits in the middle of 38 undeveloped acres along the edge of Eggemoggin Reach. A short loop trail takes you to the summit past an old cemetary. The trail is steep and rocky in sections. A short spur trail heads down a broad and relatively level trail known as the “Old School House Road.”
A small parking lot and trailhead are located on the west side of Breezemere Rd, .8 miles from Rt. 175.
The Bluff Head trail is a pleasant and easy walk through the woods offering varying topography, elaborate stone work leading up to the bluff, and incredible panoramic views of the Bagaduce River.
A parking lot and the trail-head are located .2 miles down the Rope Ferry Road (past Strong’s Brewing) at the junction of Route 15/Mines Rd and Route 176/Southern Bay Rd.
