1880 Mountain RdIf you are visiting from a State, and we're delighted to see that you are able to purchase beer and wine at supermarket's and gas stations, you still do have to buy your Hard Liquor at the VT State Liquor Store. located on the mountain road across the street from from Piecasao Pizzeria & Lounge.
This is the closest propper grocerie store closest to the house. It's a little bit overpriced when comparing to Shaw's Supermarket, but they have a nice wine selection.

This is the biggest supermarket with the best selection and pricing compared to all the above mentioned Grocery / Alcohol recommendations on my list. Definitely go her over the the Shaw's location in Stowe. Better prices! This is also the only supermarket on my list with a prescription pharmacy. There is no pharmacy in Stowe anymore.

Definitely go her over the the Shaw's location in Stowe. Better prices! This is also the only supermarket on my list with a prescription pharmacy. There is no pharmacy in Stowe anymore.

This store has been in business for 25 years. Established in 1994 By Donna Carpenter with the help of her good friend Ina Garten. So much to see, smell and taste, you don’t have a moment to work out whether you’re in the cheese markets of Holland or a traditional store in the Vermont mountains. In fact, once you’ve been inside this store, you may find it hard to leave. Freshly baked breads including rosemary & sea salt focaccia, ciabattas, baguettes, hearty multi grains, and parmesan grissini."
