I had one of their sandwich's , jerk chicken, and it was fabulous. Request it if its not on the menu. AND their bakery case is full of goodies.

The easy to access beach. I like to park at the top of the hill at the Islands and Ocean Center and walk down to the beach. If you time it right you can stop at the famous Two Sisters Bakery for a savory or sweet to go.

The drive between Anchorage and Homer is scenic and can be interesting when you take the time to stop along the way.
Find a place for lunch, shop in Soldotna before heading down to Homer for better prices and availability on everything.
If you plan to cook you might want to pick up some groceries here at Fred Meyer.
