The Old Fitz is a character filled pub founded over 100 years ago. One of the few remaining pubs with comfort, atmosphere and a decent selection of brews. One of my favourite places to go for a wine next to the fire in winter or a cider in the sun on a nice afternoon. If you like theatre, they also have the Old Fitzroy Theatre next door with a great selection of shows. Well worth the walk down the hill into Woolloomooloo

If you like walking, I recommend taking an afternoon stroll to Mrs Macquarie's Chair to watch the sunset over the harbour with the Opera House and Harbour Bridge in the foreground. It really is one of the prettiest views in this stunning city

Two Stops to Bond Junction Station in one direction and two stops for town hall station in the other. Don't forget to get an Opal Card before travelling though as it'll save you time and money for all forms of public transport
