The Block is a food truck court, but that description doesn't do it justice. It's a great place to hang out on a sunny day or a warm evening. They serve great beers and the food options are wonderful.

They don't always have music. Brewsters is new as of late 2016. It's an amazing outdoor space with a great beer selection and solid food options. It's probably the best place to go with a big group in Petaluma. They also have a great kids area.

Helen Putnam is a great place for a hike, and it has wonderful views of the entire valley if you make it to the top. I recommend going a little before sunset.

If you are looking for less of a hike and more of a flat easy walk, head for Schollenberger on Petaluma's East side. I run here every couple of weeks. To extend the loop a bit, try parking near the trail head in the Hilton parking lot.
