English Heritage (no entry fee). To get there, either turn right from the drive and walk a few metres down Pye's Lane (good shoes needed) or for easy level access walk down Bailey St and turn left.

Magnificently preserved priory almost 1000 years old. There is an entry fee (£6.20) which includes a recorded tour, or just wander and read the info boards. Open daily in summer, w/ends only in winter

The church is at the end of Stocks Green, just past The Ostrich. Not always open to visitors, but when it is there are many interesting historical artefacts inside and an impressive font.

The Bailey Gate is one of two stone gatehouses added to the settlement's massive earthwork defences in about 1200. The main road into the village still runs between its towers.
