Kal is a very difficult to communicate fellow.
Kal told us that there is no hot water, but was unwilling to allow us to enter the apartment in his absence to check the issue. When he allowed us to come to his apartment – hot water was flowing. He told us that he has issues with hot water in the morning, my deputy was within 10 minutes reach – but Kal told us he is away and we shall wait until 18-30. So we agreed that repairman will arrive at 18-30 to his apartment. At 17-50 he wrote to me that he is at the apartment, and at 18-10 wrote again asking why our repair man is not there yet. We are not a hotel with dozens of people on site 24/7, we are apartment. It takes time for my deputy to drive to the building. And if meeting is arranged at 18-30 – than deputy arrives at 18-30. Anyway, hot water was flowing fine without any repairs. That issue is mysterious for me to this day, and I have no idea why Kal was not taking shower that morning.
Then electricity went out on the whole street for 1 hour, and Kal was texting like crazy. Kal told me that he is in the lobby and I asked him to check with reception people in the lobby when the electricity will be resumed. But for Kal it was for some reason below his dignity to talk directly to the people on the building reception.
On his previous visit I told Kal that for extra payment he can have daily cleaning, but he refused.
Apparently Kal do not understand difference between apartment and a large hotel with 24/7 service at the site. Hotel room of the same size in the nearby hotel would cost him 5 times more than he paid for my apartment, and he will have daily cleaning there. I have offered him daily cleaning for small extra, but he wants to pay little and get a lot.
