This is a restaurant really, but feels more like a cafe. Very insider local spot that is small but mighty, serving up inventive, beautiful dishes for a steal. They also have a small pastry counter with exceptional treats and pastries. You must try the kouign amann (sweet croissant)..incredible!

A mile north of my place, this is my absolute favorite Italian spot. Chill, cool, vintage vibe...owned by two friends who rock out casual Italian fare like none else. They have my favorite pizza in Chicago (for thin crust)! Great bar as well.

Getting Around
This is the stop that you would get on to go to O'Hare Airport (north) or to go downtown (south.) If you are going downtown, you'll want to transfer at another stop to get o the Red Line. Ask the train person in the booth for advice.

The most beautiful of the museums with both a classic, historical wing and a modern wing. There is an incredible restaurant in the Modern Wing called Terzo Piano with amazing views of the city.

This is a newly revealed (2016) elevated train track that was beautified and greened by the City and is now a wonderful bike and walking trail. One of the entrances is about a mile south from my house, off of Western.
