Woods Hole Market is the only "general store" in the village. It's a bit expensive for everyday essentials, but the alternative is a drive into Falmouth. They also make great sandwiches and soup - and have a deck overlooking Eel Pond where you can sit and have lunch.

Quick food stop with a lovely rooftop sitting area or seating on street level right on eel pond.

This is the best all-around go-to place in Woods Hole for groceries, newspapers, soups, salads, sandwiches made to order pizza, flip-flops, batteries, even garden seeds plus the usual sodas, iced teas and flavored waters. I love their outdoor seating, especially (shhh) their upstairs covered deck that overlooks the Eel Pond.

Excellent small village market with fresh produce, dairy, and meat. Also serves outstanding lunches of soups, pizzas, sandwiches, which are great to eat on the upstairs deck overlooking Eel Pond.
