This has many of the large shops including Sainsbury's, Wilco, LIDL, ALDI, Boots and Primark. Going North towards Pokesdown, there are a number of antique shops with many bargains for collectors.

There are shops all over town. The Sovereign Centre has supermarkets, markets twice a week and lots of cafes and daytime eating places.
