The Waterfront Restaurant in the picturesque East Neuk fishing village of Anstruther serves the best fish 'n' chips I've ever eaten.

With tables spilling onto the pavement in summer, this perennially popular restaurant is a family favourite, offering a wide-ranging but top-quality menu that covers all bases from Tex-Mex fajitas and Italian lasagne to steaks, burgers and crispy Cajun chicken. The Waterfront offers the best all day breakfast in town (although their smoked haddock breakfast is also a great option!) With a full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu you will be spoilt for choice in this restaurant, and the location is ideal too, centred in the middle of Anstruther's busy Shore Street. With inside and outside tables there is a real buzz here and booking is essential.
