New World is the biggest grocery store in Whangamata however there are also small convenience stores in the main street of the town with everyday provisions including fruit and veges.

For all the snacks and day to day food and living needs. Can get EXTREMELY busy through summer and events. Be prepared for a long wait. Queues go up the aisles. If its not essential then a good idea to wait for non-peak times. Closes 8pm winter
