In the centre of Hereford is this gorgeous hotel which has two restaurants: Castle Restaurant, overlooking the gardens, for fine dining and a more informal Ballingham Bar and Bistro. We've had lovely food in both. The setting is pretty nice too.

The very best afternoon tea! The castle house has recently added a new conservatory for coffee and breakfast / lunch dates... Setting is beautiful with views of the castle pond from the terrace!
