You can hike here up a rugged trail from Hubbard Park, or take the drive up. Awesome views of Sleeping Giant, and you can see Hartford, New Haven and Lond Island Sound on clear days.

(40 min) Stunning views, well worth the trip. They do close the road for the winter, so please check before heading out.

Really cool piece of history to go see! The views are amazing. It's a short drive up the road through Hubbard park, and it's free to park and climb the roughly 30ft tower. Cars must be back through the gate by evening (I think the gates close strictly at 4:45PM). You can walk, but it's a long and steep road.
