Cardiff Castle is a medieval castle and Victorian Gothic revival mansion located in the city centre of Cardiff, Wales. The original motte and bailey castle was built in the late 11th century by Norman invaders on top of a 3rd-century Roman fort

The castle is in the heart of the city and provides an interesting insight into the history of the city. Children will love the keep in the middle of the walled Bailey and adults and children will enjoy the galleried rooms within. Admission charges apply.

Cardiff castle is easily within walking distance. At the moment the castle has bars and food outlets within it, a very cool place to visit.
