Greenbrier is one of my favorite sections of the National park ! It’s located away from the main part of the park that gets very busy so it’s a bit quieter out there and there is less traffic . It’s absolutely beautiful and filled with several hiking trails in this part of the park . There is a beautiful River that runs along side the road , it’s a popular spot for fly fishing and swimming . I like to take our kids out here to swim and play in the summer. Really gorgeous area !

Get your feet in the water and hunt crawdads! Pack a lunch and head to the Greenbrier area, just a few miles from the Lodge

Greenbrier is a great place to have a picnic. They have picnic tables and bbq grills set up right on the little pigeon forge river within GSMNP. The views are great and the little ones can even dip in the water. Beautiful butterflies, and sometimes wildlife like squawking geese! Don't leave any food behind for the Bears!
