Great add on to a trip to Mass MoCa - stunning views, funky atmosphere, great coffee and snacks. Historical place that's been re-furbished. We think it's a must do.

When weather permits we highly recommend driving about 8 minutes up the mountain to see the HairPin Turn and the outlook right above it. (For the outlook it is easiest to navigate to Wigwam Western Summit.) Views are breathtaking. The place also has a souvenir shop for tourists with plenty of delightfully overpriced tchotchkes and drip coffee. The sign “America’s Switzerland” is a nod to how the Berkshires were perceived nearly a century ago.

Throwback roadside stop from the days before interstate highways. Café offers sandwiches, whoopie pies, fudge and souvenirs. Even if you don’t buy anything, it’s worth a stop for the breathtaking views of North Adams.
