This is our favorite local beach, named after the hotel directly behind it (which has a great happy hour at its lobby bar). It's an easy, scenic 15 minute walk or 5-10 minute ride/drive. Walk toward Diamond Head, along Kapiolani Park on your left, and you'll get to Kaimana Beach. It is located…
Want to get away from the crowds at Waikiki Beach? Then go to adjacent Kaimana Beach. If I can't find parking in the adjacent lot or metered parking, I park in the parking lot near 3902 Paki Ave and pack up wagon and walk about 5 minutes across the park to Kaimana Beach. Nice snorkeling not to far…
Small beach at the end of Waikiki with ample parking. Still considered Waikiki, but away from the hustle and bustle and a good mix of local and visitor crowd. Right next to Kapiolani park which ha great running/exercise areas.
Best beach nearby where you will have sandy beach, sand ocean bottom, lifeguards, beach volleyball, and not nearly as crowded as the main beaches of Waikiki. Quieter and more local. Free parking as well.
